Since the start of this blog I have been struggling to figure out nicknames I could use for the kiddos. Using their first initial works, but it is so generic and boring!

I stumbled upon one for my daughter that works perfectly, “Little Flower.” Despite her fair complexion, she is actually 5/16th Native American. I also, although to a lesser degree, am too. This week I found out that my ancestor’s Native American name was “Little Flower”. Perfect! Something I can call her to honor her roots alongside mine!

Turkey-Man is a combination of both of our son’s nicknames, Turkey and Little Man. Who knows why I didn’t think of that earlier! Sometimes my brain is in slow-motion.

Finally something unique to call them!!
