Do you recognize that phone? That little innocent phone has brought about more tantrums this week than I care to count. Why?

…Because there is a cord that attaches the receiver to the phone. I never knew how infuriating one little cord might be, but a certain little girl that resides in our house is livid that the receiver only rests on the phone from one angle. The cord prohibits it from being put on from the other side.

It is a sign of the times. My children will have no idea what it was like to try to stretch that cord as far as possible to secure any sort of private conversation. They will have no idea of the joy I felt the first time I talked on a wireless phone! Actually, they will have no idea what a home phone even is!

Ugh. I feel old!
