In this culture gathering evidence for how a woman should be from the Bible is not exactly popular. It can feel suppressing with the scriptures that command the woman to be subservient to her husband or others that state a woman must be silent in the church and should not have the authority to teach.
But, have you ever really looked at the Proverbs 31 woman? Although all of her affairs revolve around homemaking, she is every bit the woman that women are fighting to see today. In this chapter, we see the Proverbs 31 woman is:
- Valuable
- Confident
- Wise
- Hard working
- Benevolent
- Resourceful
I am going to kick off a series highlighting the various characteristics we see in Proverbs 31 and how we can teach our daughters to be modern, yet Godly women.
In this era, we are pushing our girls further than ever to compete in a man’s world. In this era, it really is not okay for me to state that there is a man’s world. The fight is for a unisex, gender equal society. That does a disservice to women everywhere. We offer unique, treasurable, qualities.
I hope that you follow along as I dive into each of these traits and how we can teach our daughters to honor each one within themselves.
Our toxic culture in the West no longer values the authentically feminine, and that is a tragedy and a shame.
