I am here today on Funny Fridays to publicly renounce every judgement I have ever passed on another mother, ever, ever, ever! Maybe this will keep my kids from proving my perceptions wrong again!

You know those parents who keep their children on a child leash? Those way overprotective, helicopter parents? Yup, I get it now! They are not being overprotective. They are just trying to keep their child from killing themselves. Turkey-man taught me this little lesson this week (again!)!

Admission: I lost Turkey-man at the zoo this week. Well, really, I did not loose him, he wandered off while I was doing something with Little-Flower. He decided the otter exhibit was no longer interesting and wanted to see the alligator. Dear friends who have more than two children, I have no idea how you keep track of them all! This is the third time in just over three months that this has happened!

A short attention span in an energetic little boy seems to yield a child prone to becoming separated from Mommy! It also yields a very panicked mother trying to keep her wits while searching! And, when you add all that together, it turns into an relieved, but rather angry mommy once said child is found.

Forget about the nice little backpack child leash idea, I was ready to use one of these once I found him…!!
